Your place in our community starts here.

The Hudson School welcomes curious, motivated students from Preschool through Grade 12. Our admissions process is personal, supportive, and built around one question: is Hudson the right fit for your family?

Four steps to joining The Hudson School.

  • Submit an Inquiry

Tell us a little about your child and your family’s educational priorities. Our admissions team will follow up within 24–48 hours to help you get started.

  • Visit Campus

Tour our two Hoboken campuses, sit in on a class, and meet students and faculty. Nothing replaces the experience of seeing Hudson in action.

  • Complete Your Application

Submit your application online with transcripts, teacher recommendations, and a student statement. We welcome applications for all grades, Preschool–12.

  • Receive Your Decision

Admission decisions are based on student qualifications only—our policy is need-blind. We’re rooting for every applicant who walks through our door.

Why Hudson

A school where every student is known.

With 280 students across PreK–Grade 12, The Hudson School offers the intimacy of a small school and the richness of a full academic program. Grade sizes range from 15 to 30, and most courses cap at 25. Our 55 faculty members—who average 16 years of teaching experience—know their students by name, learning style, and passion.

Financial Aid

Hudson should be within reach.

In 2023–24, 29% of our students received need-based financial aid, with grants ranging from $1,200 to $24,000. Financial aid applications are processed separately and have no bearing on admission decisions—which are based on student qualifications alone.
