Guiding students through the transformative years.
Grades 5–8 at The Hudson School are designed to meet students exactly where they are—intellectually curious, socially evolving, and ready to become more independent—with the structure and support to help them flourish.
Thoughtfully designed for young adolescents.
The middle school years are marked by significant physical, social, emotional, and intellectual change. Our program is built to support students through every dimension of that growth—providing a nurturing community where students explore their interests, develop their identities, and build the confidence they need for high school and beyond.

Learning who you are—not just what you know.
At The Hudson School, social-emotional learning is inseparable from academic achievement. Through our advisory program, peer mentoring, and character education initiatives, students build empathy, resilience, communication skills, and leadership. Our faculty and counseling team work closely with every student to help them navigate peer relationships, identity formation, and the emotional demands of adolescence—in a community where it’s safe to take risks and make mistakes.

Challenging coursework with real support.
Our curriculum challenges students intellectually while providing the scaffolding they need to succeed. Small class sizes allow for individualized attention and differentiated instruction. Interdisciplinary learning experiences help students connect knowledge across subjects and see the real-world relevance of what they study. Critical thinking, collaboration, and creative problem-solving are developed throughout—skills that will carry students through high school, college, and beyond.
